ELO Class Reflection

I really like being in this class because we get to use the iPads. In this class, I learned how to make my own blog and how to get people's attention when making an advertisement. Using iPads in class to do our assignments instead of doing it on paper is a good thing because it makes it easier for us to do our assignment. I really had fun in this class and I'm sure that the people that have this class next semester will have a blast with this cool technology we call the "iPad"

Case Study: “It’s Over” by Britt Hainstock

In the case study "It's Over" by Britt Hainstock, the two characters, Kim and Jordan broke a couple of rules. Kim broke Rule# 1: Remember the Human,Rule #2: Adhere to the same standards of behavior online that you follow in real life and Rule #7: Help keep flame wars under control. Kim didn't have the guts to breakup with Jordan face-to-face so she did it online. By doing that she broke Rule #2. She wouldn't have done it like that in real life. She was talking to Lucas online and was planning on how she would break-up with Jordan and after she posted online that she's breaking up with Lucas she didn't even tell Jordan about it. She just broke Rule #1. She didn't put herself into Jordan's shoes thinking how that would hurt if Jordan did that to her. After all that happened, she made a Myface group called "People Who Think Jordan Sucks" By doing that she broke Rule #7. She's making Jordan look like it was all Jordan's fault when she was the one who started it.

On the other hand, Jordan broke Rule #8 which is respect other people's privacy. He went on Kim's Myface account without her permission, and he did some bad things to her account by de-friending a bunch of Kim's friends and made numerious inappropriate posts on other people's walls. He also went through Kim's inbox and found her conversation with Lucas. After reading their conversation, he got jealous and drove to Lucas' house and smashed the windows of Lucas' car.

Both of them were at fault for doing things that they shouldn't have done and because of that they were brought to the office and they got introuble, even Lucas.

Advance of Digital Technology

Q: Do you think the advance of digital technology is helping our world become a better place?

Yes, I think the advance of digital technology is helping our world become a better place because it eliminates paperwork, reduces time in doing researches, projects, assignments, and officework. The use of digital technology makes it easier for us to keep in touch with family, friends through social networking like facebook, msn, yahoo, etc. With digital tecnology you can easily access to online resources from any place with an Internet connection unlike 10 years ago when you were stuck in one place sitting infront of your computer. They now have a wide range selections of digital technology devices like personal computers, laptops, ipads, iphones, blackberries, and more.

In my opinion www.1000awesomethings.com is the best blog out of the 10 blogs that are on www.maplesmedialit.blogspot.com because I can relate to almost all the posts that are on the site and they're pretty funny. The purpose of this blog is to entertain people and it sure does it's job because it entertains me

1.Content

I think the content on this blog is really good because they post random things and they are all true and they're hilarious. Their posts are very random and they kind of relate to me, they post things that I thought I'm the only one in the world who knows/do those random things and that amazes me.

2.Organization

I think the site is well organized because each section is put into one particular area and that makes it easier for us to read. The title (1000 Awesome Things) and the menu section(home, about, book, top1000) is located at the very top of the page. The posts are in the middle and the ads are on the right side of the posts.

3.Style

The site's layout is plain white,nothing special but there are pictures of different things that relates to the posts. I guess the reason why the author did that is because it makes them stand out and the viewer/reader focuses on the posts not the background

4.Mechanics

The author had no problems at all, correct grammar, punctuation, and capitalization. No abbreviations (LOL, BRB), no slang words (homie, deuces).

The reason why I chose this site is because I'm a big NBA fan and my favorite team is the los angeles lakers. I don't really have the time to watch their games because of Internet usage and schoolwork so this blog is really useful to keep me updated with the Lakers.This blog is good to keep people updated with the Lakers. The site is very well organized. They have everything that you want to know about the Lakers and they sell shirts and their only for 20 bucks. Their posts are very well written, and they have pictures to show the players that did well in the game. They also have videos and a chatbox for the people who wants to share their opinions about their favourite team which is the Los Angeles Lakers. Overall, I would recommend this blog to all you Laker fans.
